Photo Composition is using different visual elements and rules to capture and shape your story within a frame.The term composition means ‘putting together’. It helps to structure a photograph. Composition can apply to any work of art, from music through writing and into photography.





While it is up to you as a photographer to determine what your audience will perceive in an image or determine where to point your lens in addition to selecting your 

camera settings it is also important to  carefully plan the composition as it is what helps transform your regular photo into a captivating work of art. Composition helps you in  the positioning of elements inside the frame and how they interact with each other.


Why is Composition Important?


Composition is important because it's responsible for the narrative of a photograph. it keeps everything together, supports the weight of various visual elements and makes the frame look dynamic. A good composition does the following :

2. Composition directs the eyes of your viewer

3. Good Composition is pleasing to the eyes
